I know I keep saying this...

but the semester is finally coming to an end. This is a freaking long semester for me, I came back 2 weeks before the academic semester begin because of my internship. Not that I have anything to complain about it, I really love the this place (place of internship). It's going to be an one-off, extraordinary and extremely valuable exprerience. I'm so not ready to say goodbye yet... I hope I'll be spared the emotional roller coaster ride on my last day, which is the 8th of June.

THAT'S LIKE NEXT WEEK!!!

Oh well... All good things will eventually come to an end. The people at my workplace is going to have some sort of a farewell party thingy this Sunday.... So sweeeeeeeet... *sobs* I'm so going to miss everyone and my working life.

I don't believe I've actually said something like that. All I've ever done before was to lament and make lots of negative remarks on my working exprerience, I've never really NOT want to leave a place... and actually feel pang of sadness because it is coming to an end.

I've also realised from working here that it's not as bad as you think to have lunch alone. And sometimes, you really need that. To sit alone, be in your own world and away from it all. I use to think that it's a pityful sight to be sitting alone at the tea room for lunch, but I think it's not so much of an issue anymore. I'm glad I've grown out of it anyway and I'm proud of it... Afterall I'm not 'taught' that way in Singapore. At home, we used to go toilet together, eat together, shop together...

The other day when I was having lunch with one of my colleague in the veranda, the pigeons were flying all over the place, obviously interested in our food. The birds here has got no fear or whatsoever for people. They will fly really low and scratch your head just for the fun of it... So I told my colleague that, in some countries, people shoot down the birds to control the population. And she told me something very interesting. She said:

"Have you think about it that these birds or wildlife used to be the original habitants of this place? We human chopped off the trees and built concrete on it... and when they come into 'our space', we shoot them down. Imagine the birds have guns too, we will all dead by now...."

I find it really interesting... To be honest, I've never thought about it that way...

And so... I've learnt something very valuable.
