Missing in virtual world...

It's been a long time since I last updated, that's because I've been busy with stuffs... Important and not so important, but essentially, they are stuffs that needed to be done.

I just handed in an assignment last Friday, but I have another one due on the 22nd and then to present a 1 and half hour workshop on the 2nd of June, then my first paper is on the 14 of June, followed by another paper on the 19 of June...

Forecasting a busy month to come... Nothing unfamiliar, but still, it's a pain to get through.

Something less academic, which I've been doing alot, apart from MSN-ing... I'm virtually lost in the virtual world...

I started playing a mmorpg, it's called FLYFF, it's pretty good I must say. Basically, it's something like MAPLE STORY but 100 times better. Well, it's subjective, I'm just being biased, but hey, I'm entitled to my own opinions right?

Anyway, there isn't much of a main storyline, but you can definitely see a lot of effort put into this game by it's producers. I'm probably going to put people to sleep if I go into details of the game. So I'm not going to do it... anyway, for those of you who might be interested, this is the link for it: flyff.

Other stuffs...

I've been busy with is my placement(some call it internship or attachment). There are few activties that I have to get organised, there's one tomorrow. I hope everything turn out fine. I don't want to screw it up for the people who are attending nor for myself... This may jolly well determine if I can pass this module.

The flu monster just came to look for me, he said that because the weather is turning cold, so he has to pay me a visit. *sniff sniff* so I say... Vitamin C is good for you... Don't overdose, cos that won't help, but make sure u have your daily intake concientiously... Don't be like me, remember it for 2 days and forgot about it for 3...

Something happened which once again confirmed the saying, "it's a small world afterall..." Several nights back, Vin was on his way home from SAFTI after his night range and saw a harrowing motorcycle accident. According to his description there was a trail of blood where the accident took place. It seems as though the motorcyclist came into collision with a lorry and was knocked off the vehicle. The deceased was dragged on the road for long enough to be pronouced dead even before any medical aid could be applied to him.

Yesterday, I overheard my housemate talking about his Platoon commander who was dead after a motor vehicle accident. He didn't say it was collision with a lorry, but it's just hit me that it could be the same incident. So I asked if the accident was with a lorry, and to my surprise, it is.

It was the same incident...

This is the saddest thing... according to my housemate who seem to have a really good relationship with the deceased, he mentioned that his pc (the person who was in the accident)was a going to get engaged to his girlfriend and he was only 27 years old.

It is heart breaking... I don't even need to know the guy to feel the impact of this tragedy. Its so dramatic that it's so unbelievable. Why do things like that have to happen when you least needed it? The bereavement process is going to take a toll on the family and his love ones... May heart goes out to them...

It really goes to reaffirm the notion of treasuring what you have now and making every moment count. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow, can't afford to make plans too far ahead of time. Then again, bumming around aimlessly is not the thing to do either.

We're constantly dealing with dilemmas, no one said it's going to be easy. Looking on the bright side, we're come this far and survived. So what's another 20 years to come? Bring it on...

Life's always bitch no matter how you look at it, but I guess, the attitude we have makes a difference. Those of you who still think I'm pessimistic... I'm just being realistic... and of cos, nobody wants to know about it.
