terrorism...
i've just watch a documentary, it's called loose change 911. It talks about the loopholes of the so called terrorist attack. It doesn't say that the united states government planned the ploy, it is just suggesting that people should read between the lines and not take things for granted.
media is a powerful tool for the dissemination of ideas, messages, images, and what we see on the media can challenge our stereotypical thinking about certain things. hence, those who abuse the viability of media can make people think differently about things.
from the 911 incident in 2001, it's been quite sometimes now... maybe i'm outdated, but the perception i have was that it was a terrorist attack, some guy from middle eastern nation, have some piloting skills, reside in the united states for some period of time, took a plane from somewhere and somehow he managed to surpass the air defense and crash itself onto the WTC, kamikaze style. many people died, and a lot of money was needed for repair and maintenance work in the aftermath.
do you think that its the truth or is that what the united states government wants us to believe? who do you think the real victims were? and who's the perpetrator? is there what its been called, the 'conspiracy theory'?
we don't want to go there... but after watching the documentary, i must say, i was quite surprised to know what i did.
besides, what is terrorism?
according to wikipedia, terrorism is a term used to describe violence or the perception or threat of imminent violence and the terms are often used as political labels to condemn violence or threat of violence by certain actors as immoral, indiscriminate, or unjustified.
war itself is an act of terrorism... (i think) since ww1 and ww2, we have seen millions of life being threatened and sacrificed for the selfishness and greed of a few powerful people. people are the pawns for political figures to secure their position and we don't even know... isn't that terrorism too? it is immoral, and no war is justifiable. we are in the 21st century, why do we still have to settle disagreement with violence? to me, it just seems barbaric and primitive. and at the rate at which we are advancing, technologically, socially, economically, in just about any aspects, we cannot come up with a better idea than war to settle disputes... instead we come up with even more destructive ammunitions that can wipe out the entire population in matters of seconds.
the true victims are those who are implicated into the situation unknowingly and its too late when they eventually do. and those... who claim themselves victim, may be the true perpetrator, they just needed an excuse, a bill of rights to commence their inhumane and immoral expedition. what for? money and power i suppose?
mutually dependent, more money, more power... and more power, more money...
i wonder how some people can go the sleep and night and not be haunted by the deeds they've committed in the day...
that's just sad...
